This Air Jordan 1 has grabbed the ‘What The’ nickname due to mashing of three popular color themes. Looking closer, you will notice that Jordan Brand combined the ‘Chicago’, ‘Royal’ and ‘Banned/Bred’ models to achieve the look. Although there are plenty of other popular original colorways that could have been included, the Top 3 stays true and pays tribute to Michael Jordan. Before MJ stepped on the hardwood and played a game for the Chicago Bulls, he was drafted 3rd overall which is where the idea came from.
Kevin Durant, who will be sporting the Nike KD 10 throughout the series, will be aiming for his first-ever NBA Championship, while LeBron is gunning for a fourth to further solidify his argument as the greatest NBA player in history.
Prior to Game 1, both KD and LeBron wore new PE colorways of their signature shoes – the Nike KD 10 in a Warriors-friendly royal and gold, and the LeBron Soldier 11 with a red gradient on the sole.
Kyrie Irving did manage to have a bounce-back game throughout Game 3 in Cleveland, as his incredible third quarter propelled the Cavaliers to stay in the game right up until Kevin Durant took over late in the fourth. Kyrie put up 38 points without a single three-pointer falling in an incredible array of acrobatic layups. As the Cleveland Cavaliers look to swing NBA Finals momentum back their way, Kyrie Irving is wearing an all-new colorway of the Nike Kyrie 3 in Game 3.
Nike Basketball outfitted Kyrie in a head-turning Kyrie 3 PE Black Yellow too. There was no metallic gold hinting at the Larry O’Brien trophy as the pair instead was graced with a 50/50 yellow and black split. The left pair featured yellow on the outside with black on the medial side, while the right pair switched things up to make the Game 3 PE appear either all black or all yellow depending on the angle you saw it at. Touches of red highlighted the Swoosh outline and Kyrie signature logo.
Over the years the NBA Finals has served as a platform for brands like Nike, Adidas, Reebok and now Under Armour (and even Anta) to debut new signatures shoes as well as special edition PEs for their signature athletes.
The first NikeLab edition of the Nike Zoom KD 10 comes shortly after Kevin Durant winning his first NBA title. This pair features an all-olive green upper made up of premium materials finished off by a full glow-in-the-dark outsole.

The usual 3M tongue stands out proudly and is surrounded by black lining. The midsole is molded in red as well, overlaid with black ‘shark teeth’ graphics. An icy clear outsole provides the sneaker with a clean finish.

The problem with the KD 9 was the Zoom bag popping, and most of the pops happened because of the tendril connecting the forefoot bag to the main bag; it ripped and shredded on more than a few pairs (we even had a couple of our pairs pop). The New KD 10 has thickened and widened the tendril, hopefully taking that problem out of the equation. We have enough problems with joints popping – we don’t need our shoes doing the same.
So far, the general reviews and feelings on performance are a slight drop off from the KD 9, with traction not biting like it should and the Zoom bag feeling a little more muted. Since the bag is the same in size and shape, the difference has to be a PSI change within the bag or a density difference in the foam. However, if you check out the photos, the midsole/strobel board is cut out over the heel and forefoot.
With plenty of options to choose from, let’s get a closer look at all the options you have to choose from.
Using a simple color scheme, each of the Nike KD Trey 5 IV releases apart of the Team Pack are designed for you to match your uniform. Available in University Red, Game Royal, White and Black. Going for a Summer-inspired all-white look, this GS colorway of the Air Jordan 11 Low comes comprised out of a White leather upper that has been paired up with an eye-catching crackled textured leather mudguard in Pure Platinum. Every holiday season, the Air Jordan 11 returns in one of the most anticipated releases of Jordan Brand’s yearly retro release slate.
This year’s Black Friday is going to be highlighted with this new Air Jordan 11 Midnight Navy also for holiday 2017. The classic basketball sneaker simply features a white mesh upper with leather accents on the heel, while the midnight navy hue is applied for the signature patent leather mudguard and inner lining. Hits of university blue are also seen on the Jumpman logo on the heel and completing the look is a white midsole and icy translucent outsole.
The new Air Jordan 11 Midnight Navy colorway is an obvious homage to Michael Jordan’s alma-mater – University of North Carolina – thanks to University Blue Jumpman branding and a white base. The shade is a little lighter when compared to the Columbia 11 retro from a few years ago (then known as the Air Jordan 11 Legend Blue). UNC has also used a Midnight Navy shade sparingly on their iconic argyle printed jerseys from time to time. This appears on the lining, heel, and patent leather mudguard for a standout look that’s never before appeared on an Air Jordan 11.

Nike Basketball designed a special edition Cheap KD 10 Be True as part of the celebration for Pride Month. Debuted by WNBA Star Essence Carson. This ‘Be True‘ edition Nike KD 10 features a black-based upper highlighted with its rainbow-like translucent outsole as a nod to the LGBT community.
This Nike Zoom KD 10 features an all black Flyknit upper and yellow lettering on the tongue and the Swoosh. The translucent outsole beautifully maintains the eight colors of the original 1978 Pride Flag, much like the Nike Air VaporMax ‘BeTrue‘ did.
